What is GourmetFoodMall's role in fulfilling orders?
All orders are placed directly with each vendor and fulfilled by each vendor. Gourmet Food Mall's role is similar to the landlord at your local shopping mall … we bought the land, built the facility and we are leasing space to our tenants (vendors). For the Buyers convenience we also provide a "mall-wide" shopping cart for credit card orders. This convenient feature allows you to select items from multiple vendors while only having to checkout one time.

Why can't I see prices in some of the webstores?
The decision to "show prices" is made by each vendor. Some vendors only show price to "approved" buyers while others do not show price to anyone. Please contact the vendor directly.

What is a PO and RFP?
A PO is an online Purchase Order. In order to be able to place POs with a vendor you must be an "approved buyer" with that vendor. If you are already a current offline customer with one of our vendors, please contact them directly and ask them to flag you as an "approved buyer" at their webstore. We ask all of our vendors to pre-approve their current trade customers prior to activating their webstore, however, they may have overlooked your account and it only takes a couple of moments for them to set you up as an "approved buyer."

A RFP is a "Request for Pricing." If you are a new or prospective customer with one of our vendors you may be able to submit a RFP directly to that vendor. The vendor will then contact you regarding product pricing or other requested information. If you are interested in becoming an "approved buyer" with a vendor, we suggest that you submit a RFP for the product(s) that you are interested in buying and a Trade Credit Application. All information in the Trade Credit Application is treated as an encrypted secure transaction. By submitting a RFP and Trade Credit Application the vendor recognizes that you are serious about doing business with them. This may allow you to secure more favorable pricing arrangements.

Please note that POs and RFPs are only provisional orders. The vendor is required to contact you directly to confirm pricing and shipping arrangements.
